Saudi Business Delegation Explores Economic Partnership Opportunities During Working Visit to China’s Industrial Cities

A delegation of Saudi business leaders conducted a working visit to several major Chinese cities from November 30 to December 10, including Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Macau, Guangzhou, and Foshan, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen economic cooperation and open new horizons for investment partnerships between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People’s Republic of China.

Throughout the tour, the delegation held a series of meetings with business leaders and entrepreneurs in these cities, discussing potential areas of collaboration and reviewing emerging initiatives in the sectors of technology, industry, investment, and services. The meetings leveraged China’s global economic standing and its leadership in innovation and advanced technology.

The visit also included participation in the Artificial Intelligence and Future Industries Exhibition, held from December 4 to 6 across both Zhuhai and Macau under the theme “One Exhibition in Two Cities.” The delegation explored the latest advancements and innovations in cutting-edge technologies and future-oriented industries.

Mr. Shehan Al-Qahtani, Business and Media Influence Advisor to the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Riyadh–Guangdong, expressed his pleasure with the visit, affirming the eagerness of Saudi business leaders to build wide-ranging partnerships with their counterparts in China. He emphasized that these efforts align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Al-Qahtani stressed that such visits represent an important step in enhancing trade and investment exchange between the two countries and expanding cooperation in ways that serve mutual interests. He also praised the significant efforts of Ms. Moli, Secretary General of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, whose coordination with Chinese officials, entities, companies, and factories played a key role in the success of the visit and the achievement of its objectives.

He noted that the Guangdong (Canton) Chamber of Commerce serves as the province’s primary arm for facilitating trade exchange and coordination between Saudi and Chinese investors. The chamber plays an essential role in streamlining operations and strengthening economic and industrial cooperation. Guangdong Province is also home to the world-renowned Canton Fair, one of the largest international economic exhibitions, held annually and attracting thousands of companies and investors from around the globe.

This visit comes within the broader context of strengthening the growing economic relations between Saudi Arabia and China and supporting joint efforts to build broader strategic partnerships across vital sectors.
