Uzbekistan to Hold “Kelajak Uchun” Forum to Promote Public Participation in National Development

: Tashkent – Khaled ALjeed
With the support of JSCB Business Development Bank, Uzbekistan is set to host the “Kelajak Uchun” Forum, a national initiative aimed at broadly engaging the public in the development of key industries and regions, implementing citizens’ ideas and initiatives, and enhancing the effectiveness of ongoing reforms.
The forum is being organized in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 14, 2025, titled “On Additional Measures to Support Promising Initiatives in the Implementation of Reforms.” In line with this decree, relevant institutions have been mobilized, and the dedicated crowdsourcing platform kelajakuchun.gov.uz has been launched to facilitate public participation.
As the forum’s key partner, JSCB Business Development Bank will allocate the necessary financial resources to support and implement projects selected through the forum’s competitive process, ensuring that the most promising initiatives are translated into practical outcomes.
The “Kelajak Uchun” Forum will be conducted in three stages.
During the first stage, initiative-minded citizens, including Uzbek compatriots living abroad, may register on the platform via One ID, select one of five priority areas, and submit their proposals and projects. Each participant may submit up to five initiatives, with opportunities for collective participation also available.
In the second stage, all submitted initiatives will undergo expert review and refinement based on professional recommendations. The most impactful and viable proposals will be shortlisted for further consideration.
The third stage will involve presentations by initiative authors to experts from the Mentors Council, during which the most relevant and innovative ideas will be selected within the Top 50 and Top 10 categories.
The final stage of the forum will take place in Tashkent, with the exact date and venue to be announced at a later time. The top ten initiatives will be presented to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Approved initiatives will be implemented in practice, with their authors receiving material incentives, while the projects themselves will benefit from direct state support.
Financing for the commercialization and implementation of selected initiatives will be provided by JSCB Business Development Bank, other commercial banks, and the Science Financing and Innovation Support Fund. Meanwhile, remaining initiatives will be reviewed by the Government for potential inclusion in state programs and sectoral and regional roadmaps. All activities within the framework of the forum will be coordinated by the Agency for Strategic Development and Reforms.
The “Kelajak Uchun” Forum serves as an open platform for dialogue, welcoming forward-looking ideas and initiatives that contribute to the country’s sustainable development.
Citizens are encouraged to actively participate in the forum and submit their proposals for the development of Uzbekistan—your initiative could become a success story shaping the nation’s future.
